Ayers/Saint/Gross is a ninety-person firm, with over 85 years of experience specializing in the planning and architectural design of college towns, academic and student-life buildings, campus planning, landscape architecture, renovation, redevelopment, and town planning.  Additionally, the firm has master planned several research facilities as well as college towns.

Founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1915, Ayers Saint Gross established a second office in Washington DC in 1992. Dhiru Thadani, AIA, an architect, urbanist, and advocate for the Congress of New Urbanism, joined the firm in 2000 and directs the town planning studio.  The design studio offers a range of services, including the revitalization of inner-city neighborhoods through densification and infill strategies.  The focus of the studio is the creation of livable pedestrian mixed-use environments that are sustainable, both financially and environmentally.
