Innovative Wayfinding Downtown
Introducing AwesomeMap, a large-format multitouch display that is a fun portal to discovering Lexington’s downtown. Awesome Touch, in collaboration with the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Lexington Downtown Development Authority, has created this exciting new wayfinding feature for downtown. With several screens easily accessible throughout the downtown, visitors can use the maps to explore and plan a visit to downtown Lexington.

Discover Downtown
The user friendly layout and inventive technology is a wayfinding solution that allows visitors to quickly and easily discover dining, shopping, entertainment, and similar venues in a downtown area. It employs multitouch gestures like pinch-to-zoom to allow for intuitive use. The software allows visitors to navigate to over 250 unique locations in downtown Lexington, as well as discover the route of LexTran’s COLT Trolley, and browse a constantly-updated feed of local events.
Business Opportunities
This unique application creates a new advertising platform for local businesses seeking to attract customers by listing their business and a description of their services. Every downtown business is located on the map and every location has the capability to display custom information provided by business. 
For example, a restaurant could provide an image of their current menu, or a theater could provide a list of showtimes, or a store could provide images of products that are currently on sale. This Premium information is accessed by tapping the “More Info” button on a place’s popup menu. When this information is provided as high-resolution images users will be able to pan and zoom in on this content.
