"WHAT CAN BE"

Over the past few years, the Lexington Metropolitan Area has experienced dynamic and somewhat unprecedented growth and development. The renaissance in our Downtown, the expansion of the University of Kentucky and growth in our suburban areas are all examples of a changing built environment and are redefining what our community is about.

This 32 page book has been developed as a compendium of ideas and opportunities to communicate the possibilities and to promote and encourage public and private participation in bringing these ideas to fruition.

Some of the projects identified are already well underway and will be completed in time for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010. Others are merely ideas that will require investment of thought, time and financial resources. With appropriate attention and support the concepts presented in this book represent "What Can Be" in our wonderful community.
